a month agoCame in to dine in for food today, only to be greeted with a sign informing me that the dining room was closed after 2:00pm, and they were only accepting takeout orders. Disappointed, as it would've been nice to have known before coming in. Ended up going elsewhere to eat instead.

Edited 2 months agoFound this quaint little place on my way through Charles City and was pleasantly surprised by the warm atmosphere and friendliness of the woman who waited on us. I’m assuming she is part of the family ownership team. The restaurant is clean, bathrooms are updated and spotless. The food is great. It’s bright and fresh. Menu is extensive, but not overwhelming. There is something for everyone. If I lived in Charles City, this would be my go to spot for lunch, dinner or takeout. I don’t know about the delivery situation, if they offer it or if there are delivery services in the area. Unfortunately, after my visit today,,gotta give an update. Rudely refused service at 1:40 in the afternoon. Hours say that they have lunch service from 11-2pm . Yet, they do serve take out all day. How hard is it to allow someone to sit at a table and let them have a meal, which would probably have been done by 2:01pm. Sorry Lucky Dragon, I will not be back.

5 months ago"My experience at Lucky Dragon was quite disappointing. Upon entering, we were immediately met with a terrible smell, which was not a pleasant start. Despite this, we decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, the food was not good, and the prices were far too high for the quality received. The only redeeming item we ordered were the crab rangoons, which were enjoyable. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant and suggest looking elsewhere for a better dining experience."

11 months agoWe have been there before but it’s increasingly gone down hill. The service always was slow but the food was good until recently. We ordered takeout Orange Chicken that had no chicken. It was just fried breading with no meat. My wife and I ordered the same thing. Both dishes lacked chicken. When my wife called her up she said they use white meat. My wife insisted there was no meat. She just hung up on her. Imagine that, no attempt to make it right, just rudeness. Last time we give them business.

3 years agoThis photo is leftovers and it's even better the next day! By far the best Chinese food I've ever eaten. I moved away 10 years ago and the lucky Dragon is always my first go to when I'm in town. The crab Rangoon is like no other! To top it off the owners are the nicest people around. I've never had a bad experience here. Wish they would ship Togo orders 🤣

3 years agoI came here a few times while spending my summer in Charles City. It is quite affordable compared to many Chinese places I have been to. The quality of the food could have been a little better, but is not bad at all given the surroundings!

8 years agoWe love Lucky Dragon. The food is great. The service is excellent. We love going there any time of day.
