See All ReviewsSo I ordered food on Grub Hub, ordered the night before so I could swing by before work. First off parking for this location is horrible, had to park on the street. Walked in food was not ready, I had a pick up time of 10:30am was already 10:45 and ordered not ready, probably not even printed out. Left a few minutes after 11am. Food was good, service was good but come on I ordered ahead of time.
You DON’T want to order pupusas here! Trust me if you want pupusas this is the wrong spot. The pupusas its self was super oily and the filling was underwhelming. If you’re Salvadoran you know what makes a good pupusas is the masa and how it’s prepared. The filling should use fresh ingredients because that’s the point of a pupusas. It’s a simple but delicious dish because of how you prepare the ingredients. For some reason this place adds chili flakes in the Curtido, like what?!? El Salvador isn’t know for using chilies or heat in there dishes, like no traditional food has heat in it at all. Also there curtido is purple colored which you only really see in border town near Guatemala because that how it’s made in that country. This isn’t Salvador food at all, if you can’t get a pupusas right I don’t even want to try anything else. Big disappointment and I won’t return, plus got heartburn from all the oil.
I ordered the caldo de pata which only has 2-3 pieces or pata , 2 of pansa. I couldn’t eat it because it was hard to chew , no good flavor either. We got a breakfast and they meat is so chewy! The beans seems like bean water . Not worth it . Won’t be coming back. I told the waiter about the non edible pata and she pretty much said oh well .
