We had the salsa Verde enchiladas. They were great! I tend to judge Tex-Mex restaurants by their salsa and chips - especially the salsa. The salsa here is really good. The service was really quick, friendly, and competent. The exterior is old and might be called a dump. The interior is clean and comfortable. It reminds me of the best local BBQ establishments. The uglier the building the better the BBQ.
Breakfast was served all day, and right then we knew we had picked a great place! The food was delicious, and the service was amazing. Definitely a 10/10 recommend. We just wish the hot sauce had a little more heat, but the chips, queso, and everything else were great! 🌮✨
It was getting to be dinnertime on our long trip across Texas, so we decided to stop in Sweetwater at Lupita's Restaurante. From the outside, this place doesn't look like much. But looks are deceiving! The food and service were outstanding. The food was fresh, flavorful, and well prepared. The service was excellent, even though they were starting to get busy shortly after we arrived. If ever we are back in the area, we will stop at Lupita's for more great food!
