Lux? I show up at the location Anything but…. I placed an order on DoorDash at 4:57 PM to pick up dinner (two cheesesteaks.. that’s it). I show up at the location around 5:15 and the bartender, who seemed to be the only service staff member in the restaurant, seemed confused when I asked about my order. I showed her my phone and the confirmed order on the DoorDash app. She then tells me that the order must not have sent yet. I have ordered DoorDash plenty of times and that’s not how that works. She then tells me that the order is still being prepared. When I ask again about my order, she then consults with the cook in the back who provides me a copy of my DoorDash order and claims it will be ready shortly. Her nonchalant attitude and repeated, “they’re making your order” was clearly a testament to their lack of customer service. At 5:40, I ask about my order again and it is apparently not even started!! I cancelled my order and left the establishment. During this time, there are a few patrons at the bar, who receive their food and almost finish in the time I am waiting. 3 guests at the bar… and an hour wait for two cheesesteak sandwiches? My intention was to order a quick meal before going to a show with my other half. I was very disappointed, especially because I wanted to support a local black-owned business… unfortunately they will not be receiving my business… ever.
The Valentine’s Day options were top tier! The lamb chops were so delicious. My date was highly impressed with the lobster tail & dessert! My watermelon martini was the best!! First time coming to this place. Will definitely be back!
Great food, great vibes, and even better atmosphere. I had the lemon pepper wings and they were really good—well seasoned and cooked just right. My friend ordered the chicken baked potato, and honestly… it was amazing. Huge portion, super flavorful, and definitely something I’ll be ordering next time. The drinks are affordable, which is always a plus, and the crowd and atmosphere have a grown, laid-back vibe that makes it a perfect spot to hang out. Bonus points for karaoke on Thursday nights—it’s an absolute blast and adds a lot of fun to the experience. Definitely a spot I’d come back to again.
