Lydia just moved to a new spot, and in the process of setting this location. She is a gem of a human behind the counter.m, and the grand opening is coming soon. The breakfast egg and cheese on a croissant was light, fluffy and delicious.
Oh my gosh! It’s all coming back to me. I wandered in this morning to grab a coffee and a baked good because the sign out front said “Lydia’s” and it reminded me of my favorite coffee shop years ago, also named Lydia’s, that I would spend HOURS in during college studying in- except they were located in Ludlow by UC. I thought what are the odds! Another coffee shop with the same name after all those years (because the original location is no longer), but surely a different one. I looked them up after and lo and behold… this is THE Lydia!!! From Lydia’s on Ludlow! I’m so excited and will be coming back :) The service was kind, the coffee was amazing and the cookie I got was so yummy!
What a hidden gem! I was in town for an event, looking for a good breakfast spot with more than just eggs on the menu and was so glad to find Lydia’s. I got the BLT, which was made fresh while we chatted. So delicious! And such a great host in Lydia who made sure I had everything I needed. It’s pretty understated from the outside, I almost walked right past it. Inside is a warm, welcoming delicious breakfast and coffee spot that is sure to become a local favorite.
My friend and I were visiting Cincinnati and getting ready to head to the airport, and needed something quick. We stopped in to Lydia's, and had a wonderful experience. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. The menu has something for everyone. We had a lovely conversation with Lydia while she was preparing our food. The experience was excellent and I highly recommend this place. Five stars all the way.
Yummy and GENEROUS sandwiches — loved the tuna melt with lots of fresh veggies! Excellent iced coffee too. Chicken Peato sandwich rocked!
I had the tuna salad. It was delicious!!! The owner was very nice. Restaurant was very clean. Nice quiet place to have lunch.
Lydia's is a very welcoming, quaint Cafe. The food here is delicious and Lydia makes everything in a timely manner!
The environment here was very cutesy. I got the apple bread pudding which was amazing. Highly recommend it! The staff was nice and the drinks were tasty. I probably wouldn't go back because I'd prefer other places over this one but it was a cool spot to check out.
