I miss the BBQ restaurant that was here but the new diner has a nice assortment of meal choices and they are done very nicely. The Florida salad is huge and has a nice assortment of local fruits and greens served with a nice raspberry vinaigrette on the side. The crispy French fries are a real treat as a side with your meal or ordered as a side dish. The soups were a nice treat on these cold days we had recently. It is a nice place for lunch with a very friendly staff
The Main Street Diner is a wonderful local dining experience in Dundee, Florida. The proportions are large and the prices are reasonable. My two side dishes were Cole Slaw and Fried Okra. Usually I don't eat okra, this could convince me to eat more of it. The accompanying picture is of my Beef Tips and Rice entree after I asked for a to-go box. We left satisfied with enough food for an extra meal at home.
From the minute you walk into the doors of MainStreet Diner till your greeted by that Southern drawl and friendly smile of the young lady that says: Morning baaabbbbyyy! Sit anywhere until the refill your made to feel like family!! Excellent prices and wonderful service and add that into great food your sure to make this a frequent stop!
