See All ReviewsBeen coming her for years. Drive for two hours to visit Frankenmuth. Me and my group have always visited Main Street tavern. It’s just a given when we go to Frankenmuth we will end up next to our hotel at Main Street. Tonight the 10 of us went in to find 2 of 3 people leaving and an annoyed bartender that we were coming in to have some drinks like we always have. The bar tender was rude and told us we are not allowed to move tables unless we asked before hand. So we put the 2 tables back. We told if we had asked first we would have been able to move them. He was so rude we all left. He clearly wanted to go home for the night. So we all left. As we left the bald rude bartender kept talking to us saying we should have asked to move the tables. Literally we just tried to move one table to add it to the next. Well. We won’t be back. He was sooooo unbelievably rude. Now I can see why there was no one in there. So we went to Tiffany’s. There were Lot of people at Tiffany’s a few blocks down. Service from management at Tiffany’s was amazing manager offered to put tables together for us and Alan was welcoming and amazing.
We came in on Saturday night, group of 10, simply wanted to put 2 tables together so we could sit together. Bartender (larger guy in Hawaiian shirt, bald) literally YELLED at us not to move the tables because it would take weeks for him to put the tables back - we said we would put them back and he said NO DONT MOVE THE TABLES. We opted to leave after he told the one lady at the bar that us tourists were rude (note 6 of us live local) - then he said if you would have asked that would be different (how is that different)? So a party of 10 left a bar that had 2 people in it and took our money with us down the street to Tiffany’s!
We have come here for many years however tonight will be the last time I step foot into this establishment . 10 of us walked in the bartender was very frustrated we attempted to pull tables together.... as we did this he stated "No we do not do that here it will take me months to get the tables back to the way they should be " . As we were deciding what we should order the woman at the bar stated " Boy they are rude people" and his respons was yes they are. My husband overheard this we decide that contributing to this establishment was not going to happen and left . While we were leaving the bartender then stated we should have asked to move the tables and he would have allowed this .... LIES !!! . I have never been made to feel so unwelcomed in an establishment!!!! We came to Tiffany's and were welcomed and they helped us move the tables. I would strongly discourage going into Main Street Tavern which is sad considering we have taken yearly trips to Frankenmuth and thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Druery Inn and walking across the parking lot to enjoy time in this bar. We clearly were an inconvenience this Saturday evening !!!!! I have worked in this industry and am extremely understanding to situations but this is far beyond anything I have ever experienced. The money he could have made off of us now will be given to the amazing server at Tiffany's
