a month agoWow 20 years of serving the finest pizza in the James River area!! Family owned, pizza handmade, and the service was wonderful!! I got a large meat lovers. It didn't last 3 minutes.... DELICIOUS!!!

3 months agoNot only is all of Mama Mia’s food amazing, but their customer service is truly top notch 🙌 After a long day of working and moving, I picked up two large pizzas to go—one pepperoni and one supreme. When we got home, we realized the supreme was just cheese 😭 I was exhausted (and starving) and was honestly just going to let it go… But within five minutes, Chris called me, asked if my order was wrong, and sincerely apologized for the mistake! He let me know the pizza was free and offered for me to come pick up the correct one or get a credit toward my next order. That kind of service is rare these days. Mistakes happen, but how a business handles them makes all the difference—and they absolutely nailed it. Highly recommend supporting this place! 🍕❤️

4 months agoWas on a mission for good pizza and wings. The wings are a hard no, breaded but soggy and rubbery. Very spicy too. Pizza was made on a pre-made frozen shell. I was hoping for fresh dough. The garlic bread was amazing, that's how they should make every pizza. It was dough and crispy. Not thin. Perfect style, it was like a garlic pizza from NY. I would like to try some other fresh dough dishes in future. We picked it up so I don't know how delivery works.

6 months agoWe have tried several different items and everything is absolutely fantastic. Their red sauce is delicious. The calzones quickly became a favorite and are so full of cheese. Meatballs are also amazing.

8 months agoI like their food — it’s really good. The drawback is the service. They constantly make me wait, even when I order ahead by phone, and they often get my order wrong. Recently, I went in to pick up an order my wife placed. I gave them the name, but instead of checking it, they asked what the order was and ended up giving me someone else’s. When I came back to fix it, the owner got upset with me even though I gave the correct name and my name was on the ticket. He even tried to charge me full price, despite being told over the phone that I wouldn’t have to. After I told him I wouldn’t return if he didn’t honor what I was told, he finally did — but the attitude and confusion were unnecessary. Overall, the food is good, but the service is questionable. Double-check your order before you leave, and be prepared to wait.

Edited a year agoThe food here isn't that great. It taste like bowling alley pizza. The crust was hard the cheese and sauce weren't all that.

a year agoOur go-to spot when we don’t make our own pizza! Just wish they were also on the delivery apps, but otherwise always a quality pizza! Picture is the 20”.

4 years agoPizza was alright, but the staff was rude, with a sign that Tipping is not a city in China. This is for pickups, not deliveries, and indoor was closed. Why should we be tipping you?! For handing the pizza box over the counter? Take the sign down. Very poor taste.
