Really disappointing experience. The place had a bad smell, almost like something was rotten, which made it hard to even stay. They also don’t offer half orders of momos, which is something I’ve never seen at any Nepali spot—especially coming from Minneapolis, where there are plenty of authentic places. Being forced to spend around $15 for a full order just isn’t practical. Honestly, I’ve never experienced a momo place like this before. It felt like a joke compared to what I’m used to, and I know many Nepali people back in my city would not be impressed. I ended up leaving without ordering and went to another momo spot in Austin instead.
Solid momos! It is a small restaurant inside a convenience store, but you can tell it's family owned and operated. You order at the counter where you would check out. They are a sizable portion, and come with a sauce that I is absolutely delicious (I wish I knew what it was called). The momos take about 20-25 minutes so be aware of that. But it's a good excuse to go to Community Garden next door and grab a coffee while you wait
Excellent food and warm service! The momo tasted homemade and full of love. The chow mein was flavorful and well-seasoned, making it a perfect companion dish. I’ll definitely be coming back for more. Highly recommend Mamas Moms Restaurant
