The food was delicious and we were served quickly I bought the grilled chicken with white rice and beans and a salad. It was to die for I left full and happy! Also my family ordered empanadas, rice, French fries, and mofongo with shrimp all very good!
The restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere; however, the pork was excessively salty and inedible. The server was very courteous and offered complimentary drinks due to the saltiness of the pork, stating that we would not be charged for them. Ultimately, she presented a bill of $111, which included the free drinks and a $5 discount for the salty fried pork. Additionally, my wife’s dish, which included rice and beans, was not initially acknowledged as part of the meal by the server. She returned with rice only after my wife had finished eating. When questioned, the server claimed she had not been informed that rice was included. We were eager to leave the establishment at that point.
I’ve been coming here since my husband and I have been in the Navy for the past 5 years. This is the first time we’ve come back in 2026. They recently changed management in January. I mentioned that the pork was too salty, and they said it was “salty pork.” In the Dominican Republic, that’s actually a known style, but what she didn’t realize is that I’m Dominican too, so I understand the difference. You gave us two drinks because the fried pork was too salty. The initial bill without the drinks was $80, and then you came back with $111, including the drinks you offered us. I didn’t appreciate that, and I won’t be returning.
