The food was good. I got the special. Lots of choices. The setting area was nice to enjoy the food.
I've gotta agree with Kyle, we are lucky to have this little cafe in downtown RVA. For the price you pay I think this place serves up some excellent quality lunches. Their sandwiches aren't going to win any awards for being revolutionary and no menu item will ever turn the culinary world upside down, but if you want a good sandwich that brings you back to the ole days of Drugstore Counter style sandwiches, this is your place.
CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFORE YOU LEAVE. I ordered an Italian sub and when I walked back to the hotel I found they'd given me an American (I can't eat turkey because it gives me gout and American cheese makes my pants explode). Threw it away.
