I had a very uncomfortable experience at this place. While I was in the middle of eating, a staff member (a red-haired young man) came over to our table and started taking napkins, salt and pepper, and even flipping chairs at nearby tables without any explanation. Around 3pm What made it worse is that the zoo closes at 5:00 PM, and there was no visible signage or posted hours at the restaurant indicating an earlier closing time. If there was a reason for closing the area or asking us to leave, that should have been clearly communicated beforehand. I would have completely understood if they had simply not allowed us to sit in the first place. However, being treated this way while still eating was very unprofessional and disrespectful. I hope management addresses this, because the issue is not the policy—it’s how customers are treated.
Got the salad with the vinegrette dressing and smoked brisket on top. Hubby loved the brisket, the salad greens were fresh, and the vinegrette wasn't too pungent and nicely fresh. We will be back :).
Despite the Google status, went yesterday and had their brisket on a salad. I think their hours/dates are inconsistent, but they are not closed.
