I lived in New York for 9 years and ohio for about 20 years. This is the best New York style pizza in the whole state of Ohio. My wife and I were in town for the Medina Antique Mall and saw Marcellos in the same parking lot so we had to try them out. We saw they sold by the slice so we both got one and ate in the car and immediately we were blown away by how authentic this pizza was. We had to go back inside and order a whole pie to take home as we live an hour and a half away. The owner was incredibly friendly. I was astonished by the service and the fact that they've only been open a year or so. The flavor and consistency of the crust was as if they had perfected through decades of experience. We will be making the trip back to Medina again just for Marcello's. 100% worth even a 2 hour drive. Everyone needs to come here! And dont get me started on how affordable this pizza was. Nobody has New York pizza like this in ohio except this place.
I asked for a Hot Honey Pepperoni with the homemade spicy sauce from The New Yorker. IT WAS FANTASTIC!!!!! I call it "The Triple Heat" and I will absolutely be back for more. Lovely people running the place. Everyone was very friendly, and treated me like family first time in the door.
What a wonderful hidden little gem. The pizza is outstanding with a legit cheese stretch. The garlic knots hit hard too. The lady at the register is so funny and knows her pizza. I will definitely stop in here again if I'm in the area.
