See All ReviewsWhen I visited Chicago last week, my car broke down on the highway, and I happened to stop at a Mexican restaurant called Maria’s Kitchen. The staff was extremely welcoming. When I explained that I don’t eat red meat and one of us was vegetarian, the staff member patiently explained each item on the menu and customized everything according to the spice level we requested. She also provided extra house-special hot sauce, which was excellent. I had the best Mexican food in a long time and would highly recommend this place.
Excellent local place with a broad menu and reasonable prices. Limited booths seating and small but adequate parking.
It's not everyday one comes across a diamond in the ruff, but boy I'll tell you. Great food awesome staff. The owner seems like he is always smiling...the door consistently opening. I must have seen 8 people come in to pick up food. Not to mention the place was packed. This place is now our go to. Keep up the great work. Will recommend.
