See All ReviewsMy family has been coming to Maria's the last 3-4 years since coming to the area so we've dined in, delivered, picked up and tried everything from tacos, tamales, tortas, to sopas. We have never once had to wait longer than our window and our order has never been wrong. They have some of the best Mexican food in the area and I normally shy away from saying "best". You can be confident ordering anything here. The pastor torta is spiced and sweet but balanced and perfectly cooked, the tacos are always flavorful and not dry, and the caldo de pollo is exactly what I need when I'm sick or had a night out. I haven't had a dry tamal and I've ordered single, half dozen, dozen- all at different times of day. The meat is always tender, the masa is cooked, soft and tastes like corn, slightly sweet. Sometimes it breaks apart after a car ride home like pictured but that's expected. The rice is always fluffy but never bland and the beans taste like beans you'd eat at home and are also never dry or grainy. I love that they give 3 salsas and the red is actually spicy, something I find a lot of places don't have. I get excited to use the extra salsas on my eggs in the morning. My fiancé rants for like 10 mins after we get home with tortas about how perfect they are. This is now a beloved staple for us and if they were ever gone, we'd really miss Maria's!
Went with 3 stars though I haven't actually tried the food. Unfortunately they can't do anything gluten free even though it's relatively easy being that a lot of Mexican food is corn- based. They cater to a lot of school events but anyone who has a family member with Celiac will never be able to try the food.
Steak burrito, giant and filled with good meat. Great sauces, especially the red and the guacamole sauce Order of Chiles Toreados, grilled jalapeños, it was 3 giant jalapeños. Will definitely be back when in the area
