I feel bad writing this review but I feel like our experience was so excessively poor I'm obligated to warn people not to waste a vacation night out eating here. It took 20 minutes to get drinks. Took about 50 minutes to get our food. Tempura rolls were ok not great. Server was nice but extremely slow & brought out 2 pieces of bread for a table of 3 after about 40 minutes waiting for our food. Husband ordered the same thing as me but got old fries & missing the Pico de Gallo. They had decent reviews so maybe they had an off night however we will never come back.
Has Maries changed ownership? We have eaten here on many previous occasions and have always been impressed, however this past Saturday was a totally different experience. Slow, slow service, dessert was completely forgotten, we had to ask 3 times and we were the only diners. Then to top it all a large group of men arrived for karaoke and spent their time cursing and shouting loudly - not exactly a family restaurant. We will not be returning.
I wouldn't even give this 1 star if it was possible. Worst experience since we have moved to FL. Unfortunately it was a bad night for them due to the chef being out, etc. However, that needs to be addressed before your order a $50+ meal. It would have been better on them to have called it a night. Waited too long for the food. Then when it came, it was completely unacceptable. 4 adults and none finished their food. My husband sent his back to no avail. All the food was dry. They did come to the table with 50% off the ticket but it wasn't even worth that. The manager/owner did take responsibility and apologize but honestly I don't know that as a local we could give it a 2nd chance. Too much good competition out there. We witnessed several other tables unhappy, We left and ordered pizza at Marco's in Miramar Beach, FL What does that tell you? Paid and left hungry.....but thank you Marco's for saving the night.
