I’m currently on a quest to find good Aguachiles near me. Mariscos El Chuy is my second stop on the journey. The place is super tiny . If you blink, you might miss it. The parking sucks. I did manage to park at the gas station next to it. I ordered to go. The staff mainly speaks Spanish but there are employees that speak English as well. Some of the food that came out while I was waiting looked pretty good. I saw a fish soup that looked breathtaking . 🤤They were busy but the staff was getting the orders out in a timely manner. On to the main attraction . You can get hot sauce for the Aguachiles, but I skipped that. No me gusta. 😛. I waited until I got home to open the order. It passed the visual test. The dish looked fresh and simply delicious. It smelled great. This version was just lime juice based. No verde or rojo sauce. I did like it but it was really limey. I mean like too much . I felt like I couldn’t taste anything but lime. I’m not sure if that’s how it is supposed to be . Next time that I order it I will be sure to ask if they can go easy on the lime. I think Aguachiles Verde is my preference so far. Still, Mariscos El Chuy is a solid choice for Aguachiles.
This place is amazing, I been in a few aguachiles/ceviche places in DFW area and this has to be the best place. The seafood is Amazing and the prices are good. The installations doesn’t look like a lot but the food is the protagonist in this little jewel. 10/10 I order a tostada de ceviche and aguachile, both crazy good
