This is not my first time going around town trying different ceviches, and one thing I keep noticing is the amount of tomato sauce. Every ceviche I've tried here seems to have the same issue—way too much tomato sauce. If you're like me and prefer a ceviche with a fresh, citrusy zest, this is probably not the place for you. The portion size was also disappointing. The bowl/boat was so small that it didn't even fill me up, especially for the price. In my opinion, this should have been a $10 plate, not $15. Portion size and ceviche quality seem to be a recurring problem around town. As for the oysters, I didn't really understand the presentation. I didn't mind the Tajín on the cucumber, but it didn't pair well with the oysters. I think they would be better served plain and let customers add their own toppings and seasonings to their taste.
Red Snapper / Huachinango very good Tasty. As a note ask for size of the Red. Varies the size. The Molcajete was very delicious spicy just enough. Beer golden. Cold as needed to be.
A very inviting place with great tasting food and good service! I ordered the Cortez sushi roll, it’s amazing and the seafood tower was great, also ceviche tostadas are good. All 10/10
First time here. There was no wait to be seated. For a Saturday around 9:15pm. We got a small side of a soup. It was warm and good. We got tostadas with salsa. I ordered a Mangorita and it was good. It took a little bit of a while to get our food. Like 20+ minutes. So we left. I tried to pay for my Magorita but they said no. So we left and went to La Roca, which luckyl close at 11pm.
This was my first time at this location. The food was well presented and fresh. I had the oyster shot, which is something different and acquired taste. The octopus was not chewy but soft, and the tentacles crispy cooked just right. The Chipotle salmon was the meal that for me was beyond five stars. The freshness and smokey taste of the salmon paired well with the Chipotle sauce. The location is very clean and inviting.
The place is nothing out of the ordinary. The food is good, tasty and well presented. The service was fine, but they need more coordination in the kitchen. We ordered plates for two people, one plate came 10 minutes after the other. Unacceptable.
Amazing place to try out seafood. We got the Mariscada fresca, which included fresh Oysters on the shell, shrimps, aguachile verde and different types of ceviche (fish, shrimp and octopus), we loved it since you get to try different dishes and it's perfect to share. We also got the Tacos Gobernador which were very tasty as well. On the other hand, we got the Pulpo a las brasas which came on top of rice and mayo, the octopus alone was just ok but in combination with the rice and mayo it tasted amazingly good, it also included some grilled vegetables like zucchini, serrano peppers and onions. Another thing I loved is that while you're waiting for your food to come, they give you a small cup of shrimp broth for free, which was very good too. The service was great, the place was very nice and the food very fresh.
Food is good. Portions are good. Service is good. Waiters are very polite. Atmosphere? Well we were sitting right under an air duct. It didn't have the proper ventilation gadget so the hole was wide open and air was on high that even the napkins would move. Our food got cold right away. Music can somtimes get too loud. They could use better cut on the veggies especially the iceberg lettuce. It's minor details but overall a good experience.
