See All ReviewsIf you haven’t tried Marquez in downtown Hammonton, run—don’t walk—get there ASAP! We went on a Sunday afternoon, and honestly, with the dishes coming out of that kitchen, there should be a line out the door. From the moment you walk in, it’s a great experience. You seat yourself, the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, the restaurant is clean, and the overall vibe is spot on. We skipped appetizers this time—not because they didn’t look good, but because we were hungry and ready for the main event. No worries though… we’ll definitely be back. My wife ordered the steak fajitas, and wow. This was no cheap, chewy cut of meat—this steak was tender, flavorful, and practically melted in your mouth. Every bite made you want more. It was served with fresh, delicious guacamole, and the only thing missing was a small squeeze of lime—truly the tiniest critique. I went with the quesabirria tacos, and after trying many places, I can confidently say these take the top spot. If you live near or far, I don’t care—put this place on your must-try list. These tacos checked every box: • Double-wrapped tortillas ✔️ • Flavorful, moist meat ✔️ • Consomé so good I could’ve drank it ✔️ • Perfectly melted cheese topped with fresh onion and cilantro ✔️ We loved this place so much that it’s officially in our regular rotation. Huge shoutout to the kitchen and staff—keep up the amazing work. Check them out and let us know what you think! If you’ve been already, drop a comment—agree, disagree, let us know!
This is truly my favorite Mexican restaurant in town! My husband and I frequent maybe once a week because it’s so good. We love their veggie quesadilla (pictured) and the al pastor burrito. The salsa guadalajara is also so good and spicy! We love it.
Had dinner with friends (party of 6) on August 17th. I've been to this restaurant at least 4 times previously and had a great experience. This time was absolutely different. The food took an extreme amount of time to get to our table, then we had to repeatedly request silverware so that we could eat once the food arrived. Two of my friends had only part of their meal (chicken, peppers, etc) but had to repeatedly request the tortillas for their fajitas. I ordered a drink that I never received and just decided I no longer wanted it. The restaurant was not even crowded and no one ever explained all the delay. The food was good, but the service was definitely lacking!
