See All ReviewsCracker Barrel type atmosphere Mom’s and Pops lunch and brunch breakfast place. Great skillet awesome prices great Kids menu including a drink only like 5 to 7 dollars. I highly recommend this place.
Set realistic expectations for this mom and pop shop. I went in just shy of 7am. The server/owner(?) seemed surprised I was there. Seems like locals definitely keep this biz afloat. There are a couple of hand written menus, but right off the bat server started naming off things available at that time. I ordered just grits and coffee. I was put off by the fact that they had already been open but I got kicked out of the establishment because server had to make a quick trip to purchase things. Not much of an issue, wasn't in a rush, but definitely sucked that it was told to me AFTER I had food in hand. Would've much rather been told that in advance. After kicking me out, a regular came by and I was sitting even longer outside with food in hand while the regular got to dine inside as the owner shopped. The coffee was coffee, just fine, does the job. Grits were good and decent serving. Paid $6 for both. The interior is just as dingy as the outside, but tables are clean, locals are friendly.
Very cozy restaurant, with great customer service and food. I've been coming here for decades and I love it now, just as much as I loved it over 25 years ago!!
