On our third day in Las Vegas, we found this restaurant. Denis welcomed us; he was humorous and enthusiastic. He recommended the purple rice paired with tofu soup and bibimbap, which were all delicious. The side dishes they served, nine in total, were not only beautifully presented but also very tasty. The kimchi and radish were the best I've ever had. Today, we just got back from San Diego and immediately returned to this restaurant. Denis recognized us right away and served us some delicious side dishes. We've tried Korean restaurants in LA and San Diego, but none were as good as this one.
I've been to different restaurants of Master Kim's. Glad I dined at their Tofu House located in the Shanghai Plaza. Service was really good and friendly. We chatted it up a bit. I ordered the Pork & Kimchi Soup with a lot of Tofu. It's a tofu house and the tofu was a lot. I ordered it mild just incase since there's kimchi and I was thinking it would make it more spicy. It wasnt spicy so I had to get the kimchi banchan to make it more spicy. The soup was delcious. I really enjoyed it. The rice was also nicely cooked. They give you about 6 ban chan side dishes and a fried fish/mackerel. I also cracked my own egg in the soup. Lastly, the cute boxes to take the left over ban chan is sooo cute. Also, they seal your soup of you have leftovers. Genius!!!! Overall, I'd definitely return again.
This is a traditional Korean tofu restaurant with many of the favorite accomplishments. The tofu dishes and Galbi are tasty and the side dishes are refillable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Overall, a good experience.
They give complimentary appetisers before the main food I ordered beef bulgogi and tofu soup (combo deal). Amazing quality for the price They let you take leftovers in take away boxes Service is very nice too I recommend!
The atmosphere is very simple and enjoyed the food. I spent about $23 for the meal bundle; tofu soup (Assorted Tofu Soup) of my choice and a small side of meat (bugogi). There were many side dishes that came with the meal as well. The food was quickly delivered after ordering, and the staff was very attentive. Place is also pretty hidden by the other larger store fronts.
Probably best tofu soup I’ve ever had. I had the combo tofu soup with beef and seafood. Bigger chunks of beef versus other places and a full size shrimp instead of the tiny bay-sized shrimp. Staff is very nice and attentive and the restaurant is super clean.
When walking in, the restaurant looks very clean & minimalist. Good thing about this place is they open up at 10am and most Korean spots open at 11 or 12. Since it was early and we came around 10am our server Julie, she was very attentive. Came by to ask if we wanted more side dishes got us water and check to see how we were doing. Her energy & smile was very welcome. 😊☺️ My son has came down with a cold so he wanted tofu soup and chicken bulgogi. We got the side dishes but nothing about it stood out to us. He wanted the side noodle dish, we would usually get it at other Korean spot, unfortunately they didn’t have that side dish. He liked the chicken bulgogi but not the tofu soup. After getting what he wanted & he didn’t like the taste of the tofu soup then said he wanted noodle soup not the tofu soup. He always does that to me when he doesn’t like something, basically saying he asked for this not that. For me when it comes down to tastes of food.. this place didn’t hit. I wasn’t a fan of the tofu soup. I tried the chicken and it was okay as well. Overall, I definitely say just check it out because it is new and go off of your our taste experience. If I do go back I would definitely try a different dish other than our typical tofu soup at a Korean spot.
Eating here was the best experience I have had with Korean food. As someone from the East coast who is used to NYC/Boston Korean food, this exceeded my expectations of what Korean food has to offer. The flavors and quality of the soups and food were delicious, and what made it even better was the service. The staff was very attentive and welcoming, which made my visit nothing but pleasant.
