We recently had the pleasure of working with Mazar Cuisine, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations from beginning to end. When we first visited the restaurant, our intention was to order a few dishes to taste and see if the food would be a good fit for an upcoming event hosted by our MSA Muslim Student Association. From the very beginning, the owner was incredibly welcoming and kind. He happened to be working that day, and when we explained that we were board members looking for catering options for our event, he immediately expressed his willingness to work with us. What truly stood out was his generosity and flexibility. He took the time to create a customized menu specifically for us. He adjusted the dishes based on our preferences while keeping everything within our budget. As students planning an event, that meant a lot to us. On top of that, he gave us a very generous discount, which we greatly appreciated. On the day of pickup, we ordered food for 60 people. To our surprise, he prepared enough food to serve around 100 guests. He even added special items such as dessert and other dishes that were not originally included in the menu. He kindly said that it was Ramadan and that we should just feed people. That moment truly showed his character and his commitment to community. The food was absolutely delicious. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and well prepared. Our guests kept asking where the food was from and shared how much they enjoyed it. The positive feedback we received throughout the event speaks volumes about both the quality of the food and the service. Overall, this is a wonderful restaurant with amazing staff and outstanding hospitality. The owner went above and beyond to support our event, and we are incredibly grateful. We highly recommend Mazar Cuisine for dining and catering, especially for community events.

I want to warn everyone about this place. They sold me spoiled and expired mango juice. Unfortunately, they are using humanity, religion, and anything else just to make money, without caring about customers’ health. Please be aware of this restaurant. This juice was sour because it was spoiled, not just slightly sour. I drank about half of it. At first, every time I told myself maybe it’s okay, but then I became completely sure that it was expired and rotten. What makes this even worse is that they all knew the juice was bad. When I picked up my food, they only said “it’s a little sour,” but it was not “a little sour” — it was clearly spoiled. They knew this and still sold it to me. This behavior is illegal and unauthorized. They have absolutely no respect or care for customers. In my opinion, this restaurant should be shut down. If I get sick or face any health issues because of this, they will be fully responsible. I respectfully ask the State of Washington authorities to take this matter seriously and take strict action against restaurants like this, so they stop selling spoiled and dangerous food to people.

I really wanted to love this place, especially because I was excited to share authentic Afghan food with guests who were visiting us without having to cook myself. Unfortunately, the food didn’t taste like it was prepared fresh the same day, which was disappointing. Both the chicken kabab and shami were not tender and tasted as though they hadn’t been freshly prepared. The portion sizes also felt quite small — the only dish with a reasonable portion was the qabali. For reference, the $17.99 chapli kabab comes with a very minimal serving (see image). We were also sad to learn they don’t offer bolani, even though it’s advertised on their window. Overall, we hoped for a better experience.
