a month agoI would just like to say went to McKay’s ranch house today and noticed there had been quite a few changes. That was very impressive. The hot rolls were actually hot. They were fresh and absolutely wonderful. It had a very Homie feel. The staff was wonderful .All of the food On the buffet was hot and fresh chicken was very tender delicious must I say the salad bar Was fresh and well put together the desserts were well put together, and I noticed the staff was cleaning the tables wiping the seats, And like I said I encourage everyone to try McKay’s out you do not get Home cooking like this anywhere in the area. It is absolutely the best. I would really like to think the McKay family for giving Kilgore such a wonderful facility to have Home cooked meals 😬 Christopher Montgomery

3 months agoDark inside. Buffet food was good. Tried the apple pie ... Had no taste at all. Outrageous prices.... Dinner prices for lunch and they didn't offer law enforcement discount. This was my first and ONLY time I'll eat there... Can't afford it, I'll stick with Chick fillet

a year agoFirst time visit. Greeting was very nice. We had the buffet. The cost was $17 no drink included. Wish a second lettuce was offered(just had iceberg). Chicken fried steak was good. Chicken strips overcooked but ok. Sides ok. We liked the chocolate cake with mocha icing. Bread pudding good but sooooo sweet. Definitely a good place to go for big appetites.

2 years agoWe had a lot of great choices on the buffet today. I had a chicken strip, slice of ham with pineapple, some mashed potatoes with white gravy, stuffing, candied yams, and made a great salad from the salad bar. The food was amazing and we will definitely visit again.

Edited 9 months agoOld school buffet dining. Food is very good, and appropiate sides available. Table service is attentive and spot on. A little pricey, but I believe the quality of the food and the support of the local community more than makes up for it.

3 years agoThis was my first visit to this location and I was very pleased with their selections on their buffet. The food was seasoned well and tasted great. The salad bar had decent options and the dessert bar did as well. I do have to talk about their bread pudding which is worth the trip here. When topped with their butter sauce, it makes it taste extremely delicious. The staff is friendly and make you feel welcome. I definitely will be back!
