Was at Yancey’s taproom formally Brew hub in Lakeland today. This food truck was here. Food was great chef was friendly, fast, and the food was great. Flavors were dynamic. With multiple different flavor profiles together worked well with the different beers served at the taproom.
Good smoked meat, tiniest bit of sauce on sandwich. Very dry. BBQ is definitely about the meat, AND, by definition, the bbq sauce. Disappointing. Could've been so much better. And the small handful of fries were undercooked and not hot. This was at a festival, but they were not busy at all...no line.
Had their food from their food truck, i got the pulled pork and brisket combo with mac n cheese side. Also got a side of regular bbq sauce and spicy bbq sauce. The sauces were great, especially the spicy one. It was actually spicy. I loved the smokeyness and heat it added to the meat when added. The meat itself, brisket was good, pulled pork was a little dry. Service was great and the prices were reasonable.
