Hubby and I went here for lunch around noon one day. They almost didn't have a table available, but another couple kindly shared their 4 person table and, literally, split it with us. The decor is adorable! I love all the little ants and signage on the walls and the old time stove and cooking items to look at while you wait. The service was amazing! I asked about getting the fish grilled and the answer was absolutely! And it was possibly the best grilled fish I've ever had! I also tried their cole slaw, and I thought it was delicious! My hubby really enjoyed his meal too, and the portions were quite generous. The most difficult part is the lack of seating during the busy time, but it's worth the wait!
WOW! Mee Maw's was REAL homemade everything! I had strawberry pancakes with homemade strawberry sryup 😋. My husband had the bacon platter, which was 2 scrambled eggs, bacon, fried potatoes and a side of biscuit and gravy. DELICIOUS doesn't do it justice but can't think of a better adjective to describe all the food! The owners were very friendly and attentive to the whole restaurant. We will be back! I want a piece of the homemade chocolate cake and banana pudding 😊 Please support these 'mom and pop' restaurants. They are the SOUL of America!
I once talked to a women about places to eat in this area. She had told me that this place was her favorite, so I've been wanting to try it for awhile. The lady that runs this place is one of the nices people I've ever met. The atmosphere is perfect for this place. Charming old country vibe. As a added bonus the food was great and the prices were afforable.
