Cute restaurant but the food was only ok. Our pan fried dumplings were soggy, our soup dumplings had no soup inside and the dough was thick (almost like a bao). The spicy wonton dumplings were better. Service was great! Edited to note: when I posted the picture of Xiao long bao the AI caption said it was a steamed bao so maybe we were served the wrong thing, either way we didn’t like it.
We saw MEET on Tiktok and decided to try it out for date night. Our takeaway is that it wasn't bad but it definitely wasn't great. The staff was great. All were very friendly and very attentive so no complaints with the actual service. Where we ran into problems was the food. We ordered the chicken soup dumplings, BBQ pork buns, the black and gold lava buns and the CPES dumplings. The CPES dumplings and BBQ pork buns were amazing. However the chicken soup dumplings neither of us liked. It may just be our preference, never having had them before but they tasted sorta sour. Again maybe that is how they are supposed to be, just wasn't for us. The black and gold lava buns are just that. Lava. While tasting really good, I highly recommend leaving them til the end of your meal or poking holes in the top to cool because the first bite for both me and my wife, the filling exploded out and actually burnt our hands to the point of having blisters on our fingers. Again it was our first time so maybe everyone already knows of this but we sure didn't expect it. The last note is that while the atmosphere was pretty cool and overall a nice place to be...they have a fruit fly problem. We were shooing flies away the entire time we were eating, which wasn't the most pleasant way to spend a date night. Considering more than half of our food was great we will most likely give them another chance and try some other options on their menu, perhaps getting recommendations this time.
Amazing spot! All of the food was delicious. Our family of three (including our 10 year old son) all found something we loved. Dumplings, Pho, Lo Mein and lemon chicken. Friendly, attentive service and relaxed atmosphere.
