4 months agoFive stars for the service! The staff here is so kind, especially the cashier who is always so welcoming to everyone. While the food is basic Coney Island style, it is always hot, fresh, and exactly what I’m looking for at a great price point. It’s a fantastic value and the efficiency is perfect for anyone on a tight schedule. Definitely recommend!

Edited 5 months agoThird visit. Ordered rye toast and wasn’t told it costs 50¢ extra. Staff gave my mom a dirty look as we left, and after handling cash, touched the toast with bare hands to “prove” it was rye. Bread looks like imitation wheat. Not a good experience.

3 years agoWonderful staff that work here. I usually go here on my lunch break and my food is always ready when I get there. The front counter cashier is so helpful and nice to the customers. It’s very refreshing. The food is just basic Coney Island food. I wouldn’t expect a 4 star meal for that price but it hits the spot for sure and there’s great value for the money. I would definitely recommend!

3 years agoThere aren't any bad Coneys in Detroit. Some are better than others and this one is one of the best. Bacon was crisp and hot. Sausage was fresh and hot. Potatoes were hot and crispy. Served fast. Even went back the next day. Excellent!!

7 years agoWhen we arrived I could tell it was gonna be more of an old fashioned experience. I want really wrong. I ordered a breakfast special and a full order of biscuits and gravy. All were good but they were on an average tasting level. There was nothing spectacular about the food, but none the less, it was good. The prices for everything were also about on par with other Coney island spots. I would recommend trying this coney island if you wanted to try a different joint than your regular spot but personally, I wouldn't be a regular. I have had other breakfast joints that have wowed me more.
