See All ReviewsHigh Point... WELL, WELL, WELL. I recently traveled to High Point to watch and support the Carolina Core FC and decided to stay over. As day broke, and I finished my first coffee of the day, my stomach was adamant that "Continental breakfast" WAS NOT gonna do it. So... I hit the Googles to explore local eateries and decided on Miam Breakfast House. The website looked promising and it had good reviews. We arrived mid Sunday morning to find the entrance rather full and a 10 minute wait for a table for 2. After being seated our server Natalie came and took our mirning drink order. Just coffee... but they do offer Mimosas if you so choose. The varied between traditional Southern breakfast items and a few a bit more uncommon. My friwnd and I are a bit partial to Benedicts and when we both spoted thw Steak Benedict option, we both agreed this was it. Mind you it was a toss up between that and the Crab cake Benedict. (so we order a side of Crab cakes just to sample) I chose potatoes and my friend chose the fresh fruit. We sip double espresso and a regular coffee as people bustle in. The food arrives and OH... MY... GOODNESS!!! I expected a Benedict with a quartered peice or maybe even thin sliced sirloin but what waa presented really took us both aback. Such a beautiful plate... heck, it was a Platter. The fruit was SO FRESH. Sliced Bananas, Blueberries and Strawberries. The potatoes were pretty standard but then... the two lump crab cakes. I expected breaded cakes with a bit of crab but definitely more filler. Boy was I WRONG. The crab cake were about 4 inches in diameter and a bit thinner but no real filler to speak of. They we soft and FULL of well seasoned crab meat. Man what a surprise! Our Benedicts were AMAZING, cooked to perfection, seasoned and SO MUCH FOOD that we couldnt finish it (And I can eat). Wonderful food, service and overall experience. So if youre ever in the thriving metropolis that is Hight Point... stop by Miam's... YOU WILL BE SATISFIED.
Service was good. We were greeted by two smiling young ladies and immediately seated. My only qualm is that I tried to sub the meat in an on menu omelet and was told that I couldn’t, but could build my own. That didn’t make a lot of sense to me, but I guess 🤷🏽♀️. Overall, the food was good but could have been better. The pancake was just ok and so were the home fries. The omelet could have also used a bit more seasoning. I’d give it another try if back in the area.
First time eating breakfast here. We had wonderful experience. Had to wait about 25 minutes as they were very full. Once seated the service was excellent. Was staffed and everyone working well serving and bussing tables, etc. the food was delicious and portion sizes were large. Would certainly go again
