Had A Terrible Experience. Waiter Sat down while taking my god mother and I order. Not the only table to experience that also. Alot of passive aggressive banter from server to my godmother who is in here 70s about her questions of menu items. When I returned from grabbing salad from the salad bar, my god mother had to comment to the server(I believe her name was Lea) that I was trying to sit down. Towards the end of the meal, I went to ask the server for 4 boxes for my hod mother. Her response was “why do you need so many boxes, y'all ain’t order that much food”. I responded by saying thats what she asked for is that a problem. Her response was I can’t give you two more big boxes but I can give two small ones. I just was exasperated and quit that battle, which should’ve never occurred. As we were packing up, my god mother was having a conversation with another staff member in Spanish. While the server was sitting down, in the back she rudely interrupted my god mother. Asking can I help you with that. My god mother who is fluent in Spanish then asked, do you know what we are saying in Spanish . The server responded no are you trying to be facetious. My godmother said no I genuinely was trying to understand why would interrupt our conversation if you don’t understand it. The last straw was when I went to go pay the bill, the hostess(Theresa) got smart with me and I asked her for a receipt and not a bill of sale. She responded smartly I this will have your total and change due. And you get to keep the change. Like I didn’t already know that. I will never return to this restaurant. The worst dining experience I’ve ever had.
I have often visited this diner, both alone and with my family, and we consistently have a pleasant experience. The food is generally excellent, the prices are fair, and the service is adequate. The only drawback is that when the place gets crowded, parking can be a challenge. However, the wait is never too long, and the staff is very accommodating to specific requests if you ask. Recently, the menu has been updated, and it seems that more options have been added, which is a delightful change. Fortunately, the prices have not increased significantly in light of recent global changes, and that is truly a wonderful aspect.
Nice staff and good breakfast.. Stopped by after doing some Uber and had a good experience before heading home
