a year agoWe waited an hour for our food. For it to come out with no taste. Sides had been microwaved. Meat had no taste. Drinks were great though. Greens weren’t fresh. Not good, Mike. Very disappointing. Especially with no apology. A couple waited 2 hours & left right before our food came out.

2 years agoWe drove an hour to dine in this restaurant and we will never go back. 1. We ordered the meatloaf and it was TOUGH. Like at first I thought we were served a brownie with gravy.. like look at that picture. I told my husband to return it but he was too nice and just painstakingly ate some of it. The side dishes- mac and cheese and collard greens- bland, dry and unappetizing. 2. Another order was “sweetest taboo”- the salmon was dry hard and overcooked. 3. The cocktail “my bucket got a hole in it” is again bland, watery and lacks flavor. We did like rock steady rolls, the ambience and the fact that there is plenty of parking space across the street. Again, not worth our drive.

2 years agoThis place was very nice!! We did have to reserve a table ahead of time. They're open for Brunch & Dinner (check web page for times). There is also free public parking on the 3rd level of hospital parking deck which was a plus. The food was wonderful & presentation is everything. Drinks were A1 also. Will return for dinner & possible reserve the spot for a birthday celebration!!

2 years agoMy fiance' and I went here on Valentine's Day. The ambiance is EVERYTHING. It's very cozy and the chairs were so beautiful. Moving on to the food, as an appetizer we got Lazy Bones, their wings tossed in their signature sauce. AMAZING! That's it, that's all. I'd go back just for those honestly. Both of us got The Sweetest Taboo for our entree which was salmon and shrimp over a bed of pasta. The shrimp and salmon were perfectly cooked and seasoned. Seriously, so good! The pasta was cooked well but could've had more flavor. Finally, the drink we had was perfection and gave the perfect buzz. We left feeling great! The only downfall to the establishment was the bathroom being upstairs. For those with disabilities, this is challenging as there are quite a few steps leading up there.

2 years agoMy experience her was nothing short of amazing, down to the delicious appetizers & entrées & jazz music (had me about to get out of my seat & dance ). From the moment my friends and I walked in we were greeted and seated immediately, our server Wana was phenomenal & also very knowledgeable about everything on the menu & was very patient with million & one questions we all had. & baby the drinks chefs kiss 😘 I’d recommend this restaurant for any occasion! We will definitely be back!

2 years agoFrom the moment you walk in, this restaurant has a calming vibe. I was greeted right away and shown to a table. From there, my party proceeded to order cocktails and appetizers. We really enjoyed the Jazzy rolls, and chicken wings. Then we ordered dinner- smothered chicken for my husband and the salmon and shrimp pasta for me. Everything was superb! Highly recommend!

2 years agoThe food and the jazzy ambiance were just right! The staff were pleasant and welcoming. It’s always a delight to support black-owned businesses and to have great experiences while there. The spare ribs, collard greens, carrot soufflé, and macaroni & cheese had home-cooked flavor and were delicious! The portions were perfect, as well. The only negative critique would be the deviled eggs that seemed to harden in layers making the whites practically inedible. Other than that, I look forward to returning and trying more items from the menu.

2 years agoPros: The musical selection was good and the atmosphere was very nice. I would go back to try additional items on the menu. My food was delicious! Cons: There is a 20% service charge that doesn’t include any tip for your server (a tip is expected on top of the automatic charge). Basically with the service charge and the tip it was an extra $15 added. When we got there shortly after 4p it wasn’t crowded, but it still took forever to get the cocktails we ordered.
