an amazing mexican restaurant with great prices and even better food. if you’re looking for a quick bite i highly suggest this place as it’s my go to mexican spot in roanoke. (this plate is $12)

Holy cow! I have found a real gem here! I found this place after searching along my route in Google Maps. I wasn’t familiar with this restaurant, but I’m always open to try new places. My plan was to try their beef fajitas, as this is my “go to” favorite. However, there were so many other great looking items on the menu. The lady working there was super helpful and recommended the pork ribs in red sauce. She told me “Trust me…you’re going to love it!” And boy, was she right! The meat came out so soft and tender, and I barely even had to touch it before it was falling apart from the bone. The red sauce had a very unique flavor that wasn’t just a tomato based sauce. It was so flavorful, but not overbearing. The dish came with rice and beans, which is pretty standard for most Mexican restaurants, but even these had a unique flavor unlike the run-of-the-mill Mexican food joints. I usually just discard these, but I found myself pairing it with the pork meat. The Mexican rice was almost like a couscous, in that it was broken rice, not full pieces of rice. I’m not sure what they do to it, but the flavor was so great! This place was fantastic! Do yourself a favor and stop by and try the pork ribs in red sauce. Like the lady said, “Trust me…you’re gonna love it!”
