Just visited there this evening around 5:00. Was reluctant to go in as there were only 5 cars in the parking lot. I figure 4 were staff. No one in line, yet we had to wait several minutes to be seated as the hostess was on the telephone and never even acknowledged we were there. A waitress came and took us to a table herself. Our waitress was amazing, and actually brought my mom a sweater to put on as she was cold. Food was tasty and portions were large. At our table we had the buffet, the Philly Steak sandwich and the daily special of Turkey and dressing. Not a place if you are limiting your carbs! The buffet was good; nice salad, several entrees, beef, chicken, fish and fried shrimp, and desserts were included. We sampled the peanut butter, banana cream, coconut cream and key lime pie. Creams were very good; key lime, not so much. Besides the kitchen being slow and welcome staff pretty much non-existent the food was good. Not sure why it isn't busier. Decor is straight from the 80s..not a bad experience, but could be a great place with a little attention to detail.
Brought a group and the staff couldn't have been nicer. All meals were good sized portions and the slice of pie for dessert was generous also. Very satisfied. Still have to go back for the liver and onions.
