Charming little place with nice people. Breakfast tacos were ready quickly and were very flavorful. Will definitely eat here again when I'm in Wimberly.
It's like a locals Place. Have inside and outside areas. Kind of a cafeteria vibe. Delicious food. Nice portions
I had three tacos, one chorizo, one beef and one sausage. My wife had migas. It was very good. The wait staff was very attentive.
Plenty of parking on either side of the restaurant but haphazard and not well marked. Go inside and order at the cash register then pick your seating inside or out. They'll call your name when your order is ready and might bring it to your table. You can get food to-go. It's a dingy dining experience with wildly overpriced food. I paid 25 for 6 simple, fairly normal-sized breakfast tacos and one small sweet tea. There was barely anyone in the restaurant and it took nearly 20 minutes to get our food. It was delicious! Really good tortillas and the quality was definitely there, but I'm not sure they're worth nearly 4 dollars each.
Friday, Dec 5th Ordered Frito Bandito. When I arrived at my destination to eat it i discovered that the portion was smaller. I have ordered it many times in the past and asked a friend who also ordered many times before. The portion was definitely smaller. In the same to go container the food would either be a 1/4 or 1/2 an inch from the top rim. I get Mima’s all the time. They have great food, but this makes me upset. The normal portion always filled me up, the new portion left me hungry.
We visited on a Sunday about 11. There were lots of open tables inside and outside. We dined outside. I highly recommend sitting outside, weather permitting. The outdoor area is nicely decorated and shaded by large trees. If you sit outside, remember to pick up cutlery, salsas, salt & pepper, straws, and napkins before going outside. We ordered the Tex Mex Breakfast Plates: Migas Plate, Pipa Plate, and the Big Tex Plate. All were very good and a lot of food. Highly recommend.
I love love love the food. The I love everything. It's affordable. It's a nice atmosphere. The serving sizes are much chefs kiss beautiful. Tex Mex food that serves your hunger well. The outside patio to eat is so pretty with it's greenery. I am impressed. This is somewhere I would most definitely go again. Honorable mention: rice, queso, oh and nacho size. They are not shy not stingy. Just great to be at honestly.
VERY happy that the beloved taco spot has returned with another generation. The food is great, the staff are fantastic, the place is even cleaned up a bit. The menu has changed slightly but the same salsa bar is still there. Better yet, you can now use plastic so you don't have to scramble for cash. The only major pain is that there are no prices?!? Another part of the entire post-pandemic economy that is anti consumer? Or, more likely, haven't put them up yet. Well, if I can see prices before I order, I'll update my review. Until then, your guess what they charge until they charge. I had the breakfast taco special when I came in. It was a brisket & bean breakfast taco. Should have been titled breakfast bean taco with a few bits of brisket, but it still tasted solid. I look forward to coming again and giving better reviews.
