Shared the butter chicken with Naan (chicken was on the saltier side. Got the Pani Puri which was delicious, it tasted great with the mint water poured inside the little ball. Last but not least, the Jhol Momo, which was fantastic for the cold night. The chicken momo tasted perfectly seasoned and cooked. The sauce itself was well seasoned and light. Very delicious, will be back again. Nepal native approved too.
We initially loved this place and became regulars for the authentic, home-style Himalayan food. Unfortunately, our last two visits haven't met those standards. Last time, the Jhol Momo arrived cold and stale on a winter evening, though the Momo Noodle Soup (thupka with momos) was excellent. We returned specifically for that soup, but this time received what appeared to be instant Maggi noodles in broth instead of traditional thupka. Since it was takeout, we only realized this at home. I'd appreciate if the restaurant would inform customers when substituting traditional preparations with instant alternatives. Many of us choose this place specifically for authentic, homemade healthy quality. A simple heads-up about ingredient changes would allow us to make informed decisions and show the care that made us regulars. The unhealthy instant Maggi (Yuka score is zero) is extremely upsetting . Hoping to see a return to the quality we originally fell in love with. Ambiance - it's a standard Austin Food truck. I wish they had buzzer so we would know when to go pick up our order
We were delighted to finally find excellent, fresh and flavorful food in this genre near us. We had the chicken fried rice, butter chicken naan and steamed chicken momo. Everything was amazing. Best butter chicken I have ever experienced. We moved here from the East Coast and had a large variety of this type of restaurant from which to choose , so it's a comfort to know we have this lovely spot to frequent!
