a month agoThis place was BUSY but they were still quick! For once a place was very reasonably priced and large servings. Order at the counter, get your number, and grab a table if you can find one. They will bring the food. Ranch is extra but it's a decent amount and delicious. I got the 2x2 burger no tomatoes and grilled onions and it was delicious. Onion rings were amazing. My mom got the zucchini fries and she said they were good but said my onion rings were better.

2 months agoMoney Pit is my go-to stop whenever work takes me up the 78 through North County. If I’m heading out for appointments in Escondido, Oceanside, or San Marcos, I make it a point to hop off the freeway and fuel up here. The drive-thru is fast, the food selection is solid, and they make it easy to get in and out without slowing down your day. When you’re running a mobile business and your schedule is stacked, places that respect your time are everything. The staff is usually younger, fun, and outgoing, which always makes the stop a little more enjoyable. As the owner of BLING EM RIM REPAIR, a mobile rim repair and wheel repair company serving all of North County San Diego, I spend a lot of time on the road helping customers fix curb rash, scuffed wheels, and damaged rims right at their home or office. Having reliable spots like Money Pit nearby makes those long service days run smoother. If you’re looking for a quick, convenient bite near the 78 freeway in Escondido, this place is definitely worth the stop. Great food, fast service, and perfect for anyone on the move.

Remind me of back time 90s 80s 70s 60 it’s great place there is a lot of memory you’ll see arts pictures of actress penny in the tables food is great. They came from the El Cajon city to do some business here in San Marcos so I found it in Google Maps food is good. Service is good clean needs awesome I love it.Ok .

4 months agoNeat spot with casual American fare! I highly recommend the fried zucchini. I had a sip of a friend's shake and that was really good, too!

5 months agoInexpensive, big portions, tasty, great service, clean restaurant and restrooms, full of character…. I LOVE this place! I had a Greek Tavern salad with chicken. The Greek dressing is Delicious! The chicken was seasoned and moist. The tomatoes, cucumbers, cheese….everything was fresh and nice sized portions.

9 months agoGreat prices, and the food was much better than I expected. Better than going to any fast food chain. I’ve been here three times already, the portions are filling, and I haven’t gotten sick. I tried a similar burger place nearby, but it wasn’t as good as this one, and I had a stomach ache the next day. This place is great. Every time I’ve visited, it’s been pretty busy, but the service has been good whether I dined inside or went through the drive-thru. I love the Avocado Burger, Chili Cheese Hot Dog, and Chili Cheese Fries.
