It's so good to finally have Mongolian bbq here at valley fair! Well the selection of meats and even vegetables are a little limited compared to Gengis Khan in great mall or great khans in eastridge. Mong Q can undercut their prices by $2 with their "regular" sized bowls look like the same size that you get at the those places for $17 or $18. Of course there's a large sized bowl that is $18 on par with Gengis Khan. Just like Genghis Khan as well, you can select your meat and vegetables on your included plate first and fill up however much you like. Once you get over to the cashier then you can pay and then once it gets to the chefs, they'll add in the noodles for you. I do notice if you do overfill it a little bit they usually go one round to defrost the food first and put it back on your plate temporarily, and then you can recover a little bit what's spilled on your tray. However, over here, once they take your bowl and put it on the grill it's there forever so you got to make sure everything can get on the bowl the first time! For the meats they have beef and a beef brisket along with pork and chicken. There is no seafood alternatives anywhere. Veggies are also limited to with missing stuff like celery, red onions (but do have regular onions), corn, and even a couple of missing sauses like seafood and korean bbq sauce and lemon juice. Overall, for some of the more messy stuff like sauces and noodles, the service will gladly help you out with that instead so you don't have to deal with that yourself which is pretty nice! Overall after it's been put on the grill and I tasted it. I feel like this is a little bit better than Genghis Khan, but a little bit less nice than great khans over in eastridge which is a good position to be in! I hope more of these type of restaurants can appear, and I'm so glad there's one here in valley fair!
Requested for regular bowl at $14.99 a pop. Bowl was short and narrow that you couldn’t really fit that many food items on it without spilling over. Don’t like that they pour the sauces for you instead of doing it for yourself thus preventing customers from saucing it up to their own personal taste. Line goes way too slow because the grill they use is so small that it can only accommodate four dishes at a time. It felt like I was in line waiting for the subway to arrive. Lol. Requested for rice instead of noodles and was given only about half a scoop which in the end matched the tiny amount of ingredients that had been cooked from the regular bowl. Too make matters worse, they charged me for a large bowl at a whopping $14.99 a pop. Check your receipts people!
Omg this place is good and at a great value for what u pay. Lots of items to choose from. A assortment of different sauce to mix in and the best part don't worry about adding noodles in there cause they do that for u at the end. All in all the best vaule in the food court for what u pay. While writing this if u go for the large that's enough to feed 2 grown adults. Come eat here you'll be glad you did.
