Was very dissatisfied with the food. Was really looking forward to the steak shawarma bowl from all the positive reviews. I found that the meat was tough and everything was a big bowl of blah. I had to season it myself when I got home. The pita tasted like nothing. I love Mediterranean cuisine and this missed the mark completely. Three stars for great atmosphere, excellent service and nice portion size. Yet, I would not return.
I really enjoy this place and my kids do too. The food is really good and the fresh baked pitas are amazing!
This place was so delicious! Came in today with a few friends and they had something for everyone. Great place in Tallahassee to satisfy your Mediterranean craving. Food is fresh, healthy and plentiful. Staff are welcoming and helpful. I didn't get any meat products, so I can't make the comparison regarding meat seasoning and quality but for a falafel person, Chickpeas is so much more worth it. The falafel was crunchy on the outside but moist on the inside and somehow doesn't feel very greasy. The pita bread is fluffy and perfect. I'll continue to come to Moody’s Pita and Hummus as long as it stays in business! It's become one of my favorite places in Tally.
This is one of those places that I wish I had gone to sooner. Their bowls are extremely great value, and they offer quality food. I always get two small meals out of the bowl, which is honestly impressive. $7.79 gets you the steak bowl, which is cooked on a vertical rotisserie, and is ssssooo tender and juicy. The vegetables are fresh, and offer some variety to your meal. The pitas are of course fantastic, and you get one with the bowl. As any good Mediterranean place should have, there is also some great baklava!
Impressed with the food, atmosphere, and customer service, however they have some logistical ordering things to work out. The street sign and building are attractive and bright. The restaurant was clean and I was greeted by a great big menu in front of me on the wall when I walked in. Less than a minute later I was standing there confused about my options and had two other people standing with me that were lost too. We tried to make sense of it and approached the ordering area with very little confidence. One big stumbling block in the process is that customers can't see a menu to reference when ordering, the big wall menu is mostly out of sight. So I leaned back over to increase visibility and went with the falafel stuffed pita. First I was asked if I wanted hummus at the bottom, sounds good to me! When inquiring about sides (no side salad option) they provided a sample of the Greek potatoes. They were good so I went with that. Next I went down the line adding items to my pita, another tricky process because it was not clear what was what (no labels) and some items were free and some had extra cost. I added some tomato cucumber salad that look colorful and fresh. The staff suggested adding a taziki sauce and I did. Stuffed pita, side of Greek potatoes, drink and baklava was $13. Staff was pleasant during the checkout. I must say the food was really great, fresh and delicious. The pitas were perfect, light, fluffy and fresh, made in house. Potatoes were crisp on the outside and good and mushy on the inside. Everything was very good and I especially liked the baklava dessert, flaky and flavorful! I'll be back and I hope to see some signage added to help with the ordering process just some added guidance on "the line" would go a long way with hungry customers. A manager stopped at our table and we provided this feedback, hope they take our advice!
My boyfriend and I absolutely love this place. We moved a few months ago and didn't get a chance to stop by before we left. However, we came back this weekend and managed to stop by this morning. It was everything I remember it being and more, and this morning I actually got to meet the owner. They've accidentally messed up my order before, but are always more than willing to fix it. I'm super glad this place exists. Its fast and a great way to grab a decently healthy bite to eat after college classes. I'll always recommend this place.
One of the best Hummus places in Tally! amazing food, made in such an authentic Lebanese way! The hummus was so creamy and smooth, something which I find dry in other places... there was so much flavor in the tabouleh. I really wanted to kiss the hands of the lady who had made it! Excellent service, very clean and a generous and warm way of dealing with guests
Loved the fresh and hot pitas! The spicy hummus is amazing! Staff is very friendly and helpful to first timers. Fries are definitely the best thing ever! Will be back again very soon!
