We were treated like none paying customers. A few of my friends bought lunch plate tickets from a church group that MY Place is sponsoring. First red flag, we were told that those plates would have to be to go plates. That's okay we said. Then my daughter and I ordered our food of a steak burger and an enchilada plate. Second flag, Then walks in an older couple and are seated down and they bring the chips out for them. And then comes the owner making sure everything is alright with us. So I ask him why we don’t have any chips yet. He said we weren’t paying customers because we are using lunch plate tickets to pay. I told him we are paying for our food so where are my chips. Then the waitress come back with my daughters enchiladas and they are in a to go box. This verified what I was already feeling, they didn’t want us to eat there. Those lunch plate tickets are not free they paid for them, so why treat customers any different regardless of how they pay for their meal? To the staff and owner of MY PLACE, please do better on your part, every person that goes in keeps you in business. Don’t be selective with your hospitality.
food took too long i ordered a soup and a tea and was charged almost 20 dollars for it and the soup was mostly potato and the side of rice was nearly raw
Food was perfect and the service was excellent
Seated and served promptly but that was most positive thing about our experience. The waitress was extremely nice and prices are non existent but, as they say, you get what you pay for. $7 specials unheard now a days but the food was mediocre at best. Mole was too strong, mash potatoes were from a box, chicken fried steak was extremely hard covered by watery gravy and the vegetables seem like they had freezer burn. Not sure if anything was undercooked but looks like won't be going to work today. Already went through my first Pepto Bismol bottle.
Food is great and very well priced.. LIKE IT...
I don’t even know how to explain this! My first time writing a review anywhere! Service is terrible didn’t give us napkins or silverware had to ask for it. Tortilla was raw. Toast on patty melt was like a stone. Chips were stale. And the workers are just sitting on their phones. No worth the prices either. Sweet tea is straight out disgusting tasted like chemicals.
Great food, great service, and good priced specials. Something for every taste and budget. Buffet is available certain hours daily.
Good breakfast options. Place offers a breakfast special. Fast and friendly service. Facilities are nice and clean, open space. Tables are not crowded, which is nice. Place is decorated with pictures of Edinburg and some of the owners family history. (Great touch) I had visited previously and the place visited by local veterans. FYI: breakfast plate served with hashbrowns. (Greasy) The place also offers a lunch buffet
