See All ReviewsIt was ok. I’m a born Jamaica that cooks myself so my taste for authenticity is higher than most. I’m not going to bash the business beaus they are trying and see doing good. The food has much to be desired. I didn’t taste authentic ingredients in a few plates. It can pass for people that don’t fully know what Jamaican food is supposed to taste like but I’ll pass for now. I’ll check back in a few weeks.
So my choice in going here was solely based off of previous reviews. I am nit from this state so I had to go by what the people was saying and out of all the other jamaican restaurants; this one has the highest and better reviews. I ordered the rasta pasta with oxtail originally wanting it with shrimp but I was advised it was be a 20min wait. ( I understood and appreciated them being upfront). Let me just say the pasta was cooked to perfection and it tasted amazing. The oxtail's gravy on the other hand was very oily/greasy instead of the type of oxtail gravy I was looking for as a jamaican. I do have to say that other than that issue the oxtail meat fell off the bone , it was delicious and nice size pieces with no alot of fat, so I truly appreciate that! My husband had the Jerk bbq pork ribs, rice and peas, plantain and cabbage. Again the meat FELL OFF THE BONE! -hands down the chef is killing the meat!!! My husband did not like the rice and felt like it tasted fake; now someone being born and raised inna jamaica knows dem rice n peas. So he probably wont return based off of that. The portion sizes are nice , very big and I can say that the prices are worth it. Lastly spending $8.20 on 2 tropical rhythms is a bit much where I come from but I again understand. Thank you for service us!
