Was highly disappointed. Hadn't been here in years heard they were under new ownership and was excited to go back. First thing they had 3 employees working the Togo window but only one waitress for the entire dinning area. And she did not seem happy about it and definitely brought the attitude about it to the table and made it very clear that she was annoyed. Everything was cooked inconsistently and the chicken had a funky taste. And they don’t serve alcohol. Sadly we will not be back.
Hadn't ate at Nagano's in several years until today and was disappointed with the quality/taste of our shrimp/ scallops combination., the scallops were tough and the broccoli was not cooked well and stems we're very long and tough to eat. On a better note the shrimp pretty good. Problem would not recommend this restaurant.
Terrible miso soup! 👎No miso paste in it, just water and a diced piece of scallion and 2 slivers of button mushroom! Cheapest most inauthentic Japanese food ever! Coarse chicken tenderloin pieces with low grade beef cubes. A side of sweet carrots from the can and eggrolls were the thick frozen Chinese kind they flash fried. I'm ashamed to have even wasted my time and hate that I spent my precious money here! The soup wasn't good either! I'm pissed 😡the waitress told me their soup has miso in it but it came out as clear as tap water! However...lunch teriyaki with broccoli was great!
My family first time dining at Nagano restaurant! Everything my family we ordered was very delicious and fresh! My favorite was the sushi’s & poke bowl grilled salmon! We’ll definitely come back!!! Service was great.!
Went to try this place with my boyfriend and little brother. All our food was good. I had made a takeout order of the lettuce wrap for my sister but when she got home and opened her food the cucumbers all had mold growing on it. Not sure how mold can grow so fast within 4 hours of just sitting there. She was the only one that had opened it, and only the restaurant was the one to have closed it. Everything else was fine in the tray but she just threw the whole tray away just in case mold had spread.
The service was great. Fast, delicious food. The sushi was really good, I would recommend reading the ingredients in case you can't eat spicy or you don't like it. The prices are reasonable, the place is very clean, and the decorations are nice. I highly recommend the crab salad and the dragon roll.
It's not bad. I was pleasantly surprised with how the food came out. The terriyaki chicken was pretty typical for the style in the area. The udon noodle was much better than I expected. Decent sized servings but you definitely get a good amount of protein with what you order. Sushi wasn't bad either. I'd say it's fair for the area. It was definitely fresh and tasted better than it look. But There's plenty of rolls on their menu. Service was great. Servers were nice and attentive. I'd come back for food here.
My late solo lunch was enjoyable. I was greeted and walked to a clean booth immediately. The server was attentive and even waited briefly but patiently for me to quickly read the menu and place my lunch order. The seaweed salad was cool, fresh, crunchy and tasted great. It was followed soon after by a baked salmon, which was served at the perfect temperature : very warm but not too hot. It was placed on top of crispy but cooked broccoli, which kept the salmon hot throughout the meal. The brown rice was also served hot and was just a bit too loose to be easily eaten with chopsticks (my choice for Asian food) but it was possible. I asked for hot tea with my meal and it was served a minute ahead of the seaweed salad. It was strong green tea, in fact so strong that I wondered if coffee was served by mistake. I very much enjoyed the tea because it complemented the meal and it was hot (it was cold outside) and quite smooth (not bitter) despite its strength. The price charged ($21.49 less tip) was quite fair considering the high quality of the meal, the comfort of the seating, the ambiance, and the attentive service.
