See All ReviewsI’ve been searching for good Jamaican food since I left NYC 3 years ago. I’ve tried all the more known Jamaican spots in the east bay and have always been left disappointed. I stumbled upon Nalo’s today, even though I drive by it DAILY! I’m so glad I stopped in. I’m shook. I’m writing this as I’m eating my curry goat. It’s a bit salty but so deliciously flavorful that I don’t care lol. We also got an oxtail plate. All the meat was perfectly cooked, fall off the bone, and SOOO flavorful. I need more people to know about this place, genuinely so happy to have this so close to me. It’s a bit pricey but it’s the price to pay for delicious food. And you can taste the scotch bonnet :)
Wthellyyyyy wthellyyyonteee. There is no way the people are from the country of Jamaica. I got dry baked chicken with sauce dumped on top. And the ribs were dry. This is craaaaazy. Idk if it’s because it’s in California but a lot of “ethnic” restaurants really suck. It’s unfortunate.
Food was top tier! Everything was amazing Escovitch fish was delicious. I always come back every time I’m in oakland
