The pictures will suffice (including one of the Chef/Owner, Pedro Serrano) as it would take too many words to describe the delicious flavors, diversity of items and uniqueness of this 8 month old gem hidden in the sleepy town of Fredonia, NY! Having noticed a guest being served an enticing Seafood Stew which was not on the menu, I asked our server whether I could have same and was very pleased to learn that the Chef said "of course!" This was truly one of the best Cioppino's I have ever eaten, while my wife and son both had the popular Lomo Salado, a flavorful beef tenderloin served with onions, peppers, and garlic as well as a savory broth with rice and french fries. Our only regret was that we did not have room to try the fabulous looking Peruian cakes and flans that Chef Serrano's wife--the pastry chef-had prepared. But that will give us another reason to return as Nana's is only a short drive off of I-90 and very near lovely Lake Erie!
My husband and me came on a Friday evening- rather late. It was empty and all fans were running. We were wondering about this, but the big crowd just left and it was warm. They switched off the fans for us! It was the first we had Peruvian food and we like it very much much. The flavors were so much different and delicious. Everything fresh- loads of variety of meals from vegetables to meat and fish. They are still new, meaning the liquor license is still in process and the menu is not uptodate- but you get more what is written on it:-) We didn’t have room for dessert so the waitress brought us a sliver of flan to taste. For our carry home left over food she brought us additional sauces- how sweet!!! The owners are very sweet and love to share their love for food and life stories. We highly recommend this new Gem in Fredonia. Unique! We love it
Phenomenal restaurant offering a wide variety of unique and home cooked dishes. Each meal we had was better than the previous. The chicken was moist and flavorful, the rice delicious, and the seafood dish was very tasty. Love having some variety here in the local area and some fresh home cooked delicious food options. Give them a try…you won’t be disappointed!!!
