See All ReviewsWorst experience ever Expensive Chicked was not well cleaned nor coocked and the person behind the counter had attitude. Edit: Even the owner in his reply is offensive and full of attitude.
They are extremely racist. I came here late one night, around 1–2am, but they were clearly open. I’m a Black woman and was with my Hispanic friend. As soon as we walked in, an angry looking man sweeping and the man at the register started speaking in Arabic while staring at us—no greeting, no acknowledgment. My friend happens to understand Arabic and later told me they were making negative comments about us. He even responded back in Arabic, and the shock on their faces said it all. Unfortunately, I only learned what was said after we had already placed our order—otherwise I would’ve left immediately. Consider this a PSA to other Black folks: be mindful of where you spend your money in Jersey City. The food isn’t even that good to lose a customer who actually is a local resident. Haven’t been back since.
Pretty Good, located right off a main highway. I stop by anytime I’m in NJ, close to the Hotel in Newark. First time, I stopped in the Owner was there and had GREAT conversation, service and customer service and gave me a military discount. The second time I stopped in, owner was not there and the service wasn’t as pleasant. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t the same. The Caucasian clerk told me I couldn’t get a military discount because he’s not the owner. Then proceeded to talk about Burger King and other fast food chains not giving discounts. The food didn’t taste as good the second time probably because the experience was icky.
