Nick’s Place in Crawfordville is one of those true small-town gems you hope never changes. The food is consistently great, portions are generous, and everything tastes homemade instead of “out of a box.” Whether you’re getting a burger, wings, or daily specials, you can tell they actually care about what they serve. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming — the kind of place where locals hang out and visitors instantly feel at home. The staff is friendly, fast, and treats you like family instead of just another ticket number. It’s perfect for lunch, dinner, or just grabbing a cold drink and watching a game.
This unique restaurant located in Crawfordville Georgia has a good lunch menu(sandwiches) and Good service, This restaurant located in an old storefront with multiple shelves along the walls that held all kinds of vintage items from radios to typewriters to women's hats,a very interesting place to eat
Cute diner in a small town. Service was fast & very friendly. We ordered the special of Country Fried Steak with gravy, 2 sides & a drink. We ordered the white gravy. It was delicious. The steak was fried crispy & the gravy was nice & thick as white gravy should be. My sides were macaroni & cheese and butter beans. My husband got mashed potatoes & butter beans. I didn't care for the butter beans. They were a bit peppery & the consistency was like a refried bean. It was not what I expected. But my hubby liked them. We both drank sweet tea. The tea was good. Not too sweet. For dessert, we got chocolate cake & red velvet cake. Chocolate was wonderful. The r3d velvet was too dry. The meal price was amazing. $40 with the tip. We would eat here again if we come back to the area.
Enjoyed the meal & service fully! Philly was one of the best I have had! My husband had the fresh burger, and loved it! Worth every penny! Will definitely return when in the area.
I live in a nearby town and enjoy visiting local restaurants. I’ve heard about Nick’s Place and wanted to try it. I had the grilled salmon with mashed potatoes and green beans. The food was good, but was just warm making me think it was not served promptly. The service was slow but there was only one waitress. After my dinner was brought to the table the waitress never came back to check. I ran out of tea, but finished my meal without a refill. The prices are very reasonable. The restaurant is very nice and roomy. The building was originally a clothing store with built in shelves along the side walls. These shelves use old hats and records for decorations. I noticed that most of the reviews are very good so maybe I just came on an off night when someone didn’t come in. I will go again.
This is what supporting local business is all about. Nicks place was delightful and a well needed, hearty refuel with an authentic, made-with-love atmosphere. The town is small, quaint, and truly a masterpiece of historic Georgia. We had a large party of students with 14 kids and 4 adults. Every meal came our perfectly and was enjoyed. Massive cheeseburgers, wings smothered in sauce, salmon salad cooked to perfection, club sandwiches, pasta... everyone was happy. I'll certainly be back when I head to Charleston or Augusta again soon.
The hamburger...I can't describe how good it was, you will just have to go try it! I always want my burger well done, and I immediately check it when it is brought to the table. When I removed the top bun, I could see where the chef had actually made a small cut into the center to make sure it was actually well done...now that is great customer service. The burger was cooked perfectly. People same in to pick up orders, and they were so friendly. Stop to talk to us. asked if we were just traveling through, how did we find Nicks's Place... that only happens is small towns 🩵
On our way back home from Charleston SC back home after vacation we were trying to find somewhere different from normal fast food. While it's kind of off the interstate just a little bit but not a bad detour at all. It was SOOOO worth it! Food was excellent & the small town in Georgia was worth the drive! We loved it.
