The fish was tasty, but it wasn’t salted at all🧂0️⃣ The pie was great 🥧👌 I had the impression that the server didn’t really like me, though it might just be their personality🤷🏼♀️ They weren’t unfriendly—just not particularly friendly either😅 I selected “terrace,” but it only means two tables—it doesn’t really have a terrace feel.
Wednesday evening, chips, battered sausage and curry sauce. Only went here because my usual was closed. Fast fast service, portion size was spot on, quite often chippies overload you with chips. Tasty food. No complaints.
Just bought small fish and chips and curry sauce, over £15 (far too much). It turned out to be re-heated food, i.e. not fresh out of the deep fat fryer as you expect in a chip shop. The fish batter was soggy, and half the chips were still cold.
Excellent service and excellent fish and chips from a lovely independent shop. Only reason not 5/5 is the mushy peas were far too sweet - might have been a bad batch
I haven't been to this place in 30 years. I recently moved back into area. Best battered sausage and chips i have ever had you will be seeing me every week
We thought we'd try this place on a Friday night because they do gluten free food on a Friday and Saturday. The battered sausage I had was really nicely cooked, the batter was crispy and no soft parts. The fish cake was a good size for £2. The cod and haddock looked amazing and I will try it next time. The chips were very tasty, we got a large portion for £4.50 which only just managed to feed 2 adults and 2 kids, aged 10 and 13.
Changed my stars to five star after the best fish and chips tonight 😋 The batter was crispy 👌 the fish white, moist, flaky and tasted lovely. Chips perfect. Thank you xxx
Lovely little family run fish and chip shop. Friendly staff. Great portion sizes with fair pricing. Pay by cash if you can as card costs them. However, I only had a card, and they were still happy to take it - thank you. We'll be returning for sure but with cash.
