3 months agoYesterday I ordered the Mongolian beef dinner. It was extremely dry including the rice! The worst I've had by far. I will not be back!

4 months agoThe worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. Wouldn’t reorder anything besides maybe the fried rice. Even if the food wasn’t bad, the portions are small.

5 months agoI had a really bad experience at Number One Chop Suey. The guy named Ivan got my order wrong, made me wait about 20 minutes longer than he said it would take, and then tried to charge me extra when I got there. When I questioned it, he got hostile and told me I was banned from the restaurant. That’s extremely unprofessional. He also said he “just came to this country” and didn’t know the updated prices, but the menu with the prices is right on the counter that’s not my fault. Poor service, rude attitude, and no accountability. I won’t be coming back.

7 months agoWill not return. Their food made everyone at my house sick. I would not recommend any person of color to eat here again. They are doing something to this food.

7 months agoNot one to usually post a review but I felt I had to; the shrimp low mein and the egg rolls are the worst I've had thus far. No seasoning, extremely bland. The egg rolls had a weird taste to them. Will not be back

a year ago5 stars. Love the huge, flavorful portions. Fav spot for won ton soup. Sometimes delivery can take a little longer bc they are a crowd favorite. 3 stars for atmosphere bc...umm...it's a grab n go kinda place. Parking lot is small and they share with nail shop and 7-11 so you may have to park on side street or Chicago Ave. I love their lo mein..just wish there were more veggies- (lunch/dinner specials) and the flat rice noodles with beef is yummy too (sm/lg order only). *Pictured is the flat noodles with beef, an egg roll and a crab ragoon.

a year agoWe are both convinced this place has changed hands. The food was OK a year ago, but all but disgusting today. Unfortunately, it was Mother's Day. I ordered a small wonton soup and an egg roll. The soup had 4 wontons, a few soggy vegetables, a few slim slices or barbecue pork, and a lot of grease. The broth was all but tasteless. The eggroll was reheated so many times that the outside was like a brick and the inside had almost no filling. I was concerned I would crack a tooth. The crabby, unfriendly people behind the counter didn't invite comments or complaints. They were busy playing with their phone. The main dish was pepper steak and it was the worst we ever had. No seasoning, no ginger, and swimming in a flour-based plain brown gravy. The kind of gravy you would expect at a Waffle House, not anything Chinese. We will never go back here.

2 years agoI ordered the lunch special with sweet and sour chicken the egg roll was to dark and tough the rice had no onions and a few Sprouts also dry the sweet sour chicken was doughy and salty I called back and was told the lunch specials only come with a few vegetables! I will never eat here again!
