a year agoUsed to like this place 10+ years ago but its bad. Like soo bad. Lady getting food was doing some type of prep work with hands all wet from who knows what touching my credit card. Then I try to be nice and small talk with her and she just seemed annoyed. Never again ordering from here. Oh and food tasted like old shoe. Nothing good. Do your self a favor and go somewhere else. Price also gone thru the roof for garbage food. Now my stomach hurts.

a year agoGot the poo poo platter everything drenched in a gross tasting oil. Got some triangle shaped doughy oil crap I don't even know what it was so didn't finish eating it. I thought it was supposed to come with wings also It was freezing inside there and she wanted to charge me a dollar for two paper plates.

2 years agoThis is my go-to Chinese place for years. I drive 15 minutes past several others. Never a bad meal. Satisfies my cravings for Generals Tso’s Chicken, Fried Rice, Egg Rolls, Steamed Dumplings, Wonton Soup, Crab Rangoon etc. Get exactly what I order 100% of the time. Better prices than other places. The owner carefully staples your bag shut to make sure the food is hot. Check it out.

Edited a year agoI'm updating my review. My usual Chinese place was closed today so I ordered from Ocean Palace. It was much better than last time and my order was right though I am disappointed that brown rice isn't an option. The lady working there by herself was nice and had my order ready when I arrived. It's not going to replace my favorite spot but I'm glad I gave them another shot.

3 years agoWe have been going to Ocean Palace for years, their food has been consistently fresh!! They are always accommodating to personalized or specific orders and their prices are comparable to other Chinese food places. Hands down best in the Thorndale, Downingtown, Coatesville area!

4 years agoIf I could give this place no stars I would as one star is generous. Food is terrible and over priced. Recently ordered won ton soup and the broth was watered down. It literally had no taste. I had other family members who tasted it and said the same thing. Had to put it down the drain. The shrimp fried rice was worse. Shrimp were like mush and rice was dried out like it had been kept out in a warmer. Egg roll was burnt. Paid 40.00 for my food and husband’s. Waaayyy over priced for the worst Chinese food in the Caln/Downingtown area. Go to Okini if want good, quality Chinese food. This place ought to be shut down by the health dept.

4 years agoBest Chinese takeout store in the area. People who gave 1-3 stars are buggin, this place is very good. Friendly workers and the food just taste better than any other Chinese takeout in the area. Nothing is overly salty or greasy, the chef knows what he is doing. Everything has flavor and cooked to perfection. I always give them a tip when I order so they will hopefully stay in business.

8 years agoI was very pleased with my order. I ordered 2 lunch combo platters. The shrimp lo mein with pork fried rice for my daughter and chicken and broccoli with pork fried rice for myself. It was the best Chinese food I’ve had in this area. The broccoli was perfectly cooked and the chicken tasted and looked like real chicken. All of it was delicious. I was tempted to order again the next day!! It was that good.
