The service here at the bar was very good the bartender was very friendly and helped with our wine selection. Our burrata appetizer came out pretty quickly and was good. After this the experience diminished pretty quickly, our pizza took over 50 minutes to come out and this seemed to be a common theme with other guests. When the pizza came out it was not hot and it was nowhere near a premium pizza as you should expect. There was a serious lack of cheese on the formaggi pizza. Don't know if this was just a hiccup for the night but not a good experience overall.
They're lucky to even receive 2 stars after the poor service, food quality, and food proportions that accompanied my $150 tab. I'm ok with the price of fine dining, but this is far from that—and you're in Napa so get it together, Oenotri! Our waitress seemed tired and annoyed before the dinner rush even started, and was ultimately uninterested in tending to our table. Our antipasti took 35 minutes to get to our table, yet it was only 5 meatballs! During that time, our waitress visited our table twice, only to aggressively refill our water glasses. No "sorry this is taking so long" or "boy, our kitchen is working hard, it'll be right out", nothing. Just frantic survival. Then the ravioli comes out: $35 for 5 ravioli... way, way over priced for that proportion. And then the pizza came out... After one slice, my stomach was doing summersaults to try and handle the amount of grease that was dripping off every inch. It was so bad I had to excuse myself from eating more than one slice because I couldn't stomach anymore than that. But I wasn't about to throw away a $35 pizza, so I took it home and blotted 11 paper towels worth of grease off of it. Also, why are you blasting Evanessence's 'Wake me Up!' song while the restaurant is trying to have an elegant meal?? All that to say: save yourself an extremely underwhelming yet unrealistically expensive dinner and go elsewhere. Your wallet and your expectations will thank you.
Tonight was superb! Our hostess Alyssa greeted us with a big smile and warm welcome. My friend and I stopped in with the hopes of sharing a meal without any reservation. It was a full house packed full with reserved tables. All of the staff in this establishment were amazing and seemed to be managing the busy night so well. I was impressed with the great service we received from the moment we walked. Alyssa, a new hire, went above and beyond to assist us with snagging some open seating at the bar where we received just as great of service as any formal dining setting. Malia attended to us throughout the night and made great recommendations from the menu. Our meal was delicious and the ambiance and service were an absolute 10 out of 10. We will definitely be returning to this establishment and kudos to the hiring manager who clearly hand selected such great quality staff.
We have only ordered pick up from this restaurant, but it’s become one of our favorites. Everything we have ordered so far has been great. We always order the Ragu pasta because we love it so much. Hopefully we will get a chance to eat at the restaurant soon when the weather warms up and they open their outdoor patio.
Had reservations at 7:45pm on a Saturday night for 8 people. We were seated fairly quickly which I appreciated! Everything pretty much went downhill from there. Agree with the other reviews mentioning how slow the service is. We ordered close to 8pm and did not get our food until 8:45pm. For the food, I ordered the Pork Ragu which I felt was a bit too salty. I also had a taste of their linguine which tasted slightly better than what I had. Portions were decent at least. At the end, paying our bill took another 30 minutes and an automatic 20% gratuity was added for our large party which I know is normal but I thought was such a turn off since I most definitely do not think the service deserved such a high percentage. 18% at most! Overall, don’t think I would come back.
I sat at the bar and ordered a drink which was delicious and then ordered two pizzas and two pastas to go. One of the pastas from the menu was a short rib ragu. When we got home, it was only mushrooms and pappardelle. At $30 a dish we were so disappointed that we didn’t get what we ordered. When I called the restaurant they said they couldn’t do anything about it now. That is unsatisfactory. We’ve paid almost $200 for two pizzas and two pastas and one drink. I was told the menu that the bar gave me was not current. Why would the bartender not know? Why would he put in an order for something that we wanted knowing that we weren’t going to get it? Very bad communication. And their website is totally out of date as well. We heard this was the best pizza… and the pizza is very good but for the price no thank you. Oenotri, you can do better.
Great service beautiful crafted food however the halibut was very tasty the side was above my limit for spicy, unexpected and unnecessary too much pepper. The pizza was great and the salad as well.
We ordered two different pasta dishes which were delicious. However, for what you receive and the portion size, I felt things were a bit over priced. We also ordered the burrata for an appetizer and it arrived with only two Ty small pieces of bread (also pretty pricey). The service was good overall but for being almost empty, service was slow. The atmosphere was a bit odd overall and some of the servers a bit awkward—not making eye contact or speaking to us. Good location and easy to get a reservation.
