a month agoDelicious food. Great value. Excellent and friendly customer service. Most people do take out but if you can dine in the food tastes even better fresh. A place that’s really for the community. We’ve been customers for years and the food is consistently tasty.

4 months agoCame here on the weekend and the wait was over an hour for the food. We knew this going in, so it wasn't an issue as we wanted to check out other restaurants in the area. We ordered Curry Laksa (not pictured), Char Kway Teow, Nasi Lemak with Sambal Ikan Bilis, Kui Dadar, and Kuih Seri Durian. The highlight for us was the Char Kway Teow. Great flavor and great wok hei. The desserts that they have on weekends were also quite tasty and not overly sweet. The Curry Laksa with the mixed noodles (we got half and half of the 2 types of noodles they offered) were also great as well. It was amazing for the price and I'm glad my Malaysian friend recommended this place to try out.

5 months agoThe food is authentic and delicious. I’ve tried most of the different dishes and they’re all super tasty. The service is impeccable and prices are right. You won’t regret giving this place a try. This time I had the Wat Tan Hor and it’s a perfect comfort food. Also love the curry laksa here. Love this place.

7 months agoIt's worth the wait. Local and authentic Singaporean/Malaysian food. Very affordable. Great for takeout. Go to the food court in the mall if no space and for larger groups. Lots of wok hay.

7 months agoWe got the wat tan hor and the hokkien mee. Both were okay but nothing special. Definitely authentic but I felt like it was lacking flavour but still worth a try. We enjoyed the charcoal taste on the noodles.

8 months agoCurry laksa noodles! Under Thirteen dollars after tax. The noodles are probably enough for two portions but I finished it all in one sitting. Saved 40 percent of the broth and toppings for another meal - the soup is good with udon noodles as well. Such a comforting meal on a crisp fall day. Will be back to try to ckt!

11 months agoI bought the Char Kway Teow for $11.30. The one I got had a mix of two different types of noodles to try out the different textures. I used to think that CKT is basically the same thing as beef ho fun / beef chow fun, but apparently not because CKT is heavy on pork lard with added egg, no beef and with seafood; CKT is also considerably spicier. Visually speaking, CKT is also not shiny like beef chow fun. The one that’s ordered here has chicken and fishcakes; it would be interesting if it had more seafood like shrimp or blood cockles. I liked the wok hei and the interesting experience though, and everyone says this place is the best (and it has been featured in many newspapers!). It’s certainly a new experience for me, I just wished they still had pork lard that they could add on, but this is no longer available. I’d complain that this place takes quite a long time to prepare food, so you’d have to call way in advance to place your order, and they don’t really pick up the phone and they’re only in business for half the week at short hours. This box alone probably took an hour to come out. If you want desserts, they’re also sold out earlier in the day. They also only take cash. The location itself is hehe. I don’t really ever go to Scarborough, and now that I’ve gone…I’ll just say it’s a very different place.
