See All ReviewsFirst time diners here recently. We were greeted by a kind server who did a fantastic job guiding us through our dining experience. We shared the seaweed salad, oysters, edamame, then shared a bunch of delicious fresh-made rolls. This is a BYOB place, so prepare, and if you get uncomfortable on hard seating surfaces, bring something soft to sit on.
The first time I came here it was amazing, and I’ve been back three more times since. I love that it’s BYOB and you can bring your favorite bottle of wine. The service is fantastic, but honestly, something feels like it’s slipping in the kitchen. Maybe they’re short-staffed or the proportions in the recipes are being overlooked, because the flavor is there but something’s missing. Still, I’ll keep coming back!
Stopped into Ora Sushi for dinner and overall had a really good experience. The space is modern and clean, with a relaxed vibe. The food was fresh and nicely presented. The Surf & Turf Roll was definitely the standout — the seared beef on top was amazing. The Ebi Tempura Roll was epic, perfectly crunchy with a great balance of flavors. If you’re into spice, the Spicy Tuna Roll is definitely for you — it packs a lot of heat. The edamame starter was good, though a bit on the bland side. Service was friendly and the atmosphere inviting. A solid spot for sushi in Chicago
